Sam Osbourn from the USA wins Stonham Junior Tournament
Stonham Barns Junior Winners Sept 2013
Sam Osbourn, a 14 year old, originally from the USA and now living near Cambridge won the September Junior Tournament at Stonham Barns with an excellent score of 34 (5 over par). In 2nd place was regular at Stonham, James Cook from Thorpness Golf Club with a score of 36 (7 over par).
On a bright autumn day scoring was made difficult by the fresh breeze but the juniors still managed some excellent golf.
In the Age categories the Under 12’s was won by 12 year old Megan Aves from Stonham Barns. The Under 10 Age Group was won by another Stonham Barns player, Jack Harris, a 9 year old in only his second junior tournament. The Under 8’s was won by 8 year old Sawyer Osbourn, the brother of Sam Osbourn, the overall winner. Sawyer had an excellent score of 36 which was only beaten by his brother’s score.
