8 Year Old Henry Meadows wins Stonham Junior Tournament

Henry Meadows, an 8 year old member of Fynn Valley Golf Club scored a 34 (5 over par) to win the first junior tournament at Stonham Barns in 2015. His round included a great birdie two on the 105yd eighth hole. Henry’s score was the best overall score of the day and also helped him win the Under 8 category by 3 shots from Charlie Goodridge from Bury Golf Club who scored a 37 (8 over par).
The Under 10 category was won by Sawyer Osbourn, a 10 year old from Lakenheath Golf Club, who score a 35 (6 over par) and the Under 12 category was won by Luke Green from Diss Golf Club with a score of 43.
A special mention for the two 6 year olds that played today. Finlay Brock from Ufford Park and Jake Bloom from Stonham Barns and great to see them take part. 

Stonham Barns have been running Junior Tournaments for over 16 years and currently run 8 events through the year for youngsters to experience playing in Junior Golf Tournaments in a friendly relaxed environment.
All juniors from 4 to 15 years old (boys and girls) are welcome to play whatever their standard or ability. The events are usually the last Sunday of each month from April to November and feature the Stonham U12 Junior Flag Tournament in May, the East Anglian Under 12 Junior Golf Championship in June and the Stonham Barns Players Championship in November. There are prizes for all the different age categories, Under 8, Under 10, Under 12 and Under 15.
